A Place to Gather, Remember, and Be Together
When a family needs to come together to honor someone they’ve lost, the setting matters. Grandpas Barn and the Lodge Between the Lakes offer a warm, private space where up to 150 people can gather — and where out-of-town family can stay, so no one has to be apart during the hardest days.

A Different Kind of Gathering Place
Most celebration-of-life services take place in a funeral home or church hall — spaces that are practical, but rarely feel personal. Grandpas Barn is different. It’s warm, unhurried, and full of natural light and character. It’s the kind of place where it feels right to share a meal, tell stories, and take your time.
The Lodge sits steps from the Barn, which means out-of-town family — adult children, grandchildren, siblings who’ve traveled far — can stay together on the property rather than dispersing to separate hotels. For many families, that togetherness turns out to be one of the most meaningful parts of the gathering.

A Note on Timing
Celebration-of-life gatherings often happen weeks or months after a loss — after the immediate memorial service, once out-of-town family has had time to make travel plans. The Lodge and Barn are available on a flexible basis, and Steve and Betsy are experienced in working with families to get the details right without adding to anyone’s burden.
