Getting Here

607 CR 11, Mountain Home, AR 72653

Six minutes from downtown Mountain Home, in the Ozarks between Bull Shoals Lake and Norfork Lake — plug the address straight into your GPS.

By Car

From Little Rock or Springfield

About 2 hours from either Little Rock, AR or Springfield, MO, and roughly 3 hours from Memphis. Downtown Mountain Home — groceries, restaurants, shops — is 6 minutes from the driveway.

Commercial Flights

Springfield-Branson National (SGF)

The closest airport with commercial service, about 2 hours by car. Little Rock's Clinton National (LIT) is a similar drive if your flights connect better through there.

Private & Charter

Baxter County Airport (BPK)

Mountain Home's own general-aviation airport, minutes from the property — no scheduled commercial service, but a convenient option for a private or charter flight in.

When to Come

Every season looks different here

Grandpas Barn is heated and air-conditioned, so the property works year-round — but each season has its own character.

March – May
50–75°F

Spring

Mild days, cool evenings, occasional rain. Wildflowers and green fields by late April — pack layers for the swings.

June – August
80–95°F

Summer

Warm to hot and humid, with quick afternoon storms in July and August. Both lakes are at their best for swimming and boating.

September – November
50–75°F

Fall

Our most popular stretch — mild, dry, and the Ozarks in full color by mid-October. Book ahead if you want a fall weekend.

December – February
30–55°F

Winter

Cool to cold with the occasional light snow. Quiet, easy to book, and cozy inside the barn and Lodge.

What's here, what to bring

The Lodge's full kitchen, hot tub, and fire pit are ready to go, and Grandpas Barn next door is yours too for pickleball — weddings and other events permitting — see the full rundown on the Amenities page. Plan to bring your own groceries for the weekend, plus any gear you'll want for the water: fishing tackle for the stocked pond or the lakes, and life jackets if little ones will be near the water.

Exact check-in and check-out times are confirmed when you book. For everything on the water — lakes, rivers, and the drive to Bull Shoals Caverns — see the Twin Lakes Area guide.

Ready to pick a date?

Book the Lodge directly for a personal getaway, or reach out about Grandpas Barn for a wedding or event — we're happy to answer trip-planning questions either way.
